Claydon & Barham Community Centre, managed by The Claydon & Barham Local Community Trust Ltd, is located in the centre of Claydon village on Church Lane next to the High School. The centre has been a central part of the community since 17th March 1984 (St. Patrick’s day). The Centre offers a friendly atmosphere for all the family.
With a large hall, lounge area and additional Members (Compton) Lounge, the community centre is able to offer accommodation for a wide range of events. The centre is available to hire – see our facilities page for more details. Both lounges have Sky TV and there is a big screen and projector for those important sporting events, and can be hired for presentations. Our entertainment committee works hard to ensure there is always something happening at the club, whether it be a cabaret night, disco or live music. Our well stocked bar offers a wide range of beers, wines, spirits and real ales with a Guest Ale every week for those who like to experiment with something new.
The centre is also home to a number of groups and activities with indoor bowls, darts and crib clubs.
The Community Café run by Jill Booth is open Monday to Saturday. See their Opening Times.
The bar is open to members and non-members every evening from 7.00pm except Thursdays, and open from midday on Saturdays and Sundays, closing at 3.00pm Saturday afternoons and 4.00pm approximately on a Sunday afternoon. See our Opening Times.
